How It Works:

Academy 201 is a 6-week online program designed for intermediate wine enthusiasts seeking to deepen their understanding of specific grape varieties and their key regions. Through engaging online content, curated resources, and live tastings, participants will explore the unique characteristics, styles, and terroirs associated with Riesling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Sparkling Wine.

Led by expert instructors, this program offers free access and instruction. Each week, participants will have the opportunity to experience two wines from a carefully selected case, allowing for an in-depth, 45-60 minute exploration of major wine regions and varietals.
Additionally, wine pairings and systematic tasting techniques will be taught.Join us on Thursday evenings at 8:00 PM EST by Zoom from 10/12 through 11/16 for interactive, Shabbos-ready wine sessions.

By the end of the course, participants will have a comprehensive knowledge of these grape varieties and be able to confidently appreciate and select wines from different regions. How much does it cost? Free! You only need to purchase the curated case of 12 premium wines for $499.99 and the course is complimentary.

Frequently asked questions

The first class begins on October 12, 2023. Each week ( for 6 weeks) we host a one hour live zoom where you can receive instruction, taste, interact and ask questions. You will have access to the zoom recording within 24 hours in case you cannot attend live.

How long will I be able to access materials after the course closes?

What do I do with 2 whole bottles of wine every week?

We like to hold new lessons on Thursday, so you will be able to use any leftover wine for your Shabbat dinner.

Can I invite friends or family?

Of course! As long as you plan on being in the same location for the live sessions, we never mind if others (ages 21+) join on the zoom. If you need additional wine, you may want to consider purchasing extra cases or reach out to us to order additional bottles.
